I took the scenic route home today. I love walking through the back streets in town, although I probably shouldn't. I'm thinking of using this particular alleyway in my animation somehow. It would work well layered with various other imagery, or as a backdrop.

Carrying on with the National Geographic theme, I discovered an artist called Nathaniel Whitcomb, who uses vintage scans taken from the magazine, and manipulates them to make vibrant collages.

His work can be found HERE

He also makes short films. I love the simplicity of his work, and the graceful merging of imagery, which works well with the dreamy music. This is one of my favourites:

Recently, I've been really into looking through old copies of National Geographic. I love reading about the different cultures, and other peoples Worlds. The imagery is also really beautiful...

For part of my '12 Hour' project, I attempted to make a 360degree camera basically by sticking a load of disposable cameras onto a hat, and taking a picture on each one.

Now that I've got them developed, I have 120 photos to try and piece together, which is turning out to be a bit of a nightmare
